Popbars Six-Pack Thermal Bag to Go!

I am a huge proponent of buying in bulk, partially because the more food I have surrounding me at all times the happier I am. Of course the economic benefits are a nice side treat and the ability to snicker at those who have yet to discover the advantages of bulk-shopping is always fun on a sunny Sunday afternoon when doing homework is as appealing as doing laundry. So, when I heard that Popbar, my favorite West Village gelatteria that specializes in creating handcrafted gelato, sorbet, and yogurt on a stick, had a thermal bag containing not one, not two, but six popbars, I felt like frolicking through the park while singing about how much I love New York – very Glee inspired of me, I know.

Now my initial concern was what’s inside the bag? Curiosity killed the cat, I know, but I’m a smart shopper, I like to know what I’m buying before I hand over the Jacksons. The thermal bag contains six of Popbar’s top-selling flavors, which of course means it has not only the most popular but also inevitably the best-tasting popbars – if such a distinction can be made at all (I vote coffee!).

What can one do with six popbars you might be asking yourself? Well the obvious answer is to eat all of them of course! Now for some – myself on a good day included – that may be too much. So split with your friends! Instead of going together and each purchasing 1 popbar, lower your cost (this is a $31 value for only $25), buy the thermal bag, and share the goodies. Of course only one of you can actually keep the bag, which may lead to rock-paper-scissors for the more civilized and full on wrestling matches for the others.

I mean the bag is re-usable and fashionably orange. If the color doesn’t scream Popbar to you then don’t worry because the gelatteria’s name is plastered on the front, so whenever you decide to take a stroll in New York City and sport your Popbar thermal bag, everyone will know that you have good dessert taste (this is essential for making acquaintances and life-long friends).

Another thing I just thought of is that the thermal bag is perfect for picnics! With the weather finally catching up to the season (yes its been Spring for over a month now, how kind of you to finally notice) we all have a reason to go outside, other than to go to class and get to work. So why not spend the day, laying out in the sun with your friends and eating some treats. And since we’re all sick of the cupcake craze by now (plus popbars are the healthier alternative) you can have take your favorite treat with you and not worry about it melting. Who says you can’t have your popbar and eat it too!
